Forced Marriage (Episode 44)

Chapter 44

Walking down the stairs, Danny looked all cleaned up. With a jean trouser, white golf t-shirt. It reminded him of the very same day he went out with Lauren for the first time trying. His atmosphere was different. Different in a pleasant way. Bringing all people around him close. A smile covered the whole of his face. Enlightening up the entire sky.

Kim looked at him surprised at what he was seeing. She hadn't seen her son smile in a long while, looking all groomed and cleaned up. Attracting all females around him.

She already guessed why he was this happy, and that very moment, she praised himself worth.

"Good luck. And remember to listen before you speak rubbish," she added looking at him while taking a sip of her tea. 

"Don't worry. I'll bring her back," he smiled and headed towards the door. He came to a stop after seeing Liam walking towards the the door. He looked scared, frustrated and angry.

Immediately after meeting Danny's eyes, he changed his face gesture and walked towards him. 

"What are you doing here kid." 

"What an awful greeting coming from you. But that doesn't surprise me anymore. I'll take it," 

"Ruby's not home. Go home." He started walking past him.

"Actually I'm here to talk to you. It's about Lauren," he said making Danny stop at his tracks opening his ear more wide.

Ruby came to a stop when she saw a phone on the floor. She picked it up and looked at it. It was Lauren's phone. She stopped to think of a reason why it would be on the floor. She walked further to her office and found Lauren laying on the floor.

"Lauren?" She called out concerned about her. Her atmosphere took a pause for a moment with her eyes wide open looking at the figure laying on the floor.

"La... Lauren.... Lauren?" She called out trying to wake her up. She was unconscious. Immediately, she took her phone and called the ambulance to get her. Tears rolled down her cheek. She felt as she was sweating but with no sweat on her. She immediately updated Liam on the news. Telling him to let his brother know the news while she contacted the rest of the family.

"What do you mean Lauren? What is it? What happened to her?" He looked at Liam with concerned eyes.

"She's fainted due to stress about Aurora's kidnapping. Together with her nanny."

"Aurora?" He questioned herself looking at Liam with eyes demanding more answers.

"Aurora, your child. Someone kidnapped her. And the news didn't get well to her." The atmosphere changed that very moment. His aura became cold, threatening. His eyes burned with fire. He walked away leaving traits of coldness wherever he stepped on.

He started his car and waited as Liam rounded to the other side of the car and got it. Without wasting a minute, he drove furiously forgetting everything that was on his. Lauren was in his mind driving him crazy with anger, sadness and love. 

It didn't take long before they reached the hospital. He immediately got out and headed to his sister who was still waiting outside making phone calls. She hung up when she saw Danny furious. She could tell that no one was safe now. She knew how dangerous his brother was, and now that it was Lauren, his anger will be beyond his control. Blood will be spilt. Dead corpse will buried soon.

"Danny," she hugged him looking at Liam behind Danny.

"What did you find?"

"Aaron was the last person who called her. The inspectors are already running down the phone tracing every call. I'll get the answers in about 15 minutes."

"Good. I'll get my other team to deal with this issue." He stepped away.

"Atlist talk to Lauren before you go. Even if she's still unconscious, but it will be good to her." She suggested before he could walk away. And without wasting time, he went to Lauren's room.

Looking at Lauren lying on the bed broke Danny's heart. He could see tears on the corner of her eyes. He pain was relevant, heart shutting. He walked closer to him. Her skin becoming more paler each passing minute. He sat beside her and held her hand. Squeezing in slowly. 

"Everything will be fine. I will find out daughter Lauren. She will be back, to us. But firstly I would like to apologise for my doing. It was wrong of me to choose property over you. And I've learned my lesson. Don't worry. I will fix all this. For you, for our daughter, for us." He brushed her soft skin. Wiping her tears away from the corner of her eyes. Lauren's name rang in her head several times. Just like that, she stormed out of the room.

"You want to be with my sister, it's time you learn the family rules. Let's go." He commanded Liam while Ruby stayed with Lauren in the hospital. She held her breath for a long while, trying to reverse all those emotions holding her down.

"Where is this guy. He said I shouldn't waste a minute but he's late himself."

"It's of no use to complain about. He will be here shortly."

"You are right, but are you sure that you want to do this, you know how angry he is right now."

"Then my blood must be boiling. Anyway, why are we here again?"

Ryan took a deep breath remembering that it was now time to explain the entire situation. "Lauren's child, Aurora is kidnapped by Aaron. I'm still waiting for the reasons behind his doing." He placed his shades looking away from Kayler.

"So you thought of telling me all this now and Lauren's child. How come these news didn't reach me?" Before he could reply, Danny showed up with Liam behind following him.

Ryan and Danny looked at each other questioning each other about the companions they've both come with. 

"It's of no use to talk like this. You're not the only ones who are stressed out here," Liam commented making Kayler smile in amusement. 

"I'm liking him. And he's right. I want to help Lauren and I will do so. Do, it's off no use to tell me to forget or lie."

"Fine." Danny simply replied looking at Kayler in the eye.

Twitching her eyes open, Lauren looked beside her to see that she wasn't at her house. Immediately she remembered what had happened. Her tears rolled down her cheeks remembering that her daughter was kidnapped.

"Lauren?" Ruby called out while getting inside the room. She could see her tears, her red eyes. Her pale colourless skin.

Immediately, she wiped her tears in the presence of Ruby. She got out of the bed and stood on her own toes.

"Where's my phone?" she asked Ruby while facing away from her.

"It's with me." She handed the phone over to Lauren. 

"I want to make a call, will you please excuse me for a moment."

"Alright, but everyone is already outside, they want to see you." 

"Tell them that I'm alright. There's no use in worrying about me. I'm perfectly fine. Now please excuse." 

Ruby did as told and waited outside the room while Lauren made her call. She dialled Aaron and without wasting time, he answered immediately. 

"Aaron?" she called out to him just the moment she realised that he had answered. 

"You called, I thought that you had forgotten about your daughter already," he said sarcastically. 

"Aaron please don't do anything to her, don't touch my child." 

"Don't worry, I won't touch her, but I will be forced to touch for making a big mistake by telling that ex of yours," his tone changed immediately, his voice became hard, harsh and cold.

"I didn't tell him anything, I promise I did not do that."

"Then how does he know, huh? Tell me, how did he manage to get the news about Aurora's kidnapping."

"Look Aaron, just please let go of my daughter, I will do as you say. I will marry you, I just want my daughter back," she begged shedding her tears. Breaking down more and more.
