* THE DARK VALLEY *

                { Chapter 51 }

        **************( Anthony’s POV )*****************

     As I was about to take Patricia home my sister came. And the worst part was that Veronica called her by her demon name.

        "Veronica!!”, my sister screamed her name giving her a deadly look.

         "Sorry, slip of the tongue “, Veronica covered her mouth.

         "I need to speak to the both of you privately. Please wait for a while, my brother will come pick you home", Troyal said to Patricia before walking to my room.

        "Hold on a bit, I will be back ", I said to Patricia following Troyal behind with Veronica.

         I followed Troyal into my room along with Veronica.

         "You were asked to come over here to look after Rachel’s family ", Troyal said angrily.

         "I am looking after them", I answered her back.

        "Remember you were asked not to fall in love with any human “, she continued.

        "Well sorry but I did not remember promising that I will not fall in love “, I rolled my eyes telling the truth.

       Actually my family had asked me to come take care of Rachel’s family because their lives might be in danger since Rachel has a lot to achieve in the demon world. Which means she might end up making lots of unnecessary enemies.

         "You should better let go of those feelings and concentrate on the work given to you because you will not be staying here forever ", Troyal said in anger.

      "Why don’t you just let your brother enjoy his young life", Veronica butted in.

          "Why did you call me by my demon name. You know it is forbidden to be called by your demon name in another world ", Troyal ignored Veronica’s word and reminded her of the rules.

         "I said I was sorry. At least only Rachel’s sister was here with us", Veronica said .

         "Just don’t ever make that mistake again ", she warns Veronica.

       "When are you leaving sis", I asked before she growled in pains.

       "Ahhh”, she screamed out loud falling on the floor.

       "What’s wrong sis”, I ran to her.

      

      She just held her stomach in pains as she was on the floor.

       "Sis what happened “, I asked worriedly.

       "I....I...think.....Rachel is getting more powerful which is....affecting......meee”, she said slowly in pain.

          "What is going to happen to you”, Veronica asked also worried.

      Before I could say anything more my sister just stood up from the floor like nothing had happened.

   

        "Are you Alright now ", Veronica asked Troyal.

         "How do you feel “, I asked too.

        "I feel like my powers has just increased “, she smirked feeling on top of the world.

        ”I have to get going now. I need to find out what had just happened to Rachel ", my sister said and walked out in a hurry.

      Just then I remembered Patricia was waiting for me downstairs.

  

        I ran downstairs leaving Veronica behind.

       

       "Sorry if I kept you waiting for long “, I apologized.

         "It’s nothing, I understand. But I just saw your sister run out in a hurry, what’s wrong ", Patricia asked.

          "She just had something important to take care of . Let’s take you home “, I said trying to change the topic.

           "I heard her shouting upstairs, what happened “,Patricia asked again.

         "It’s nothing my love, we were just playing “, I said.

          "But it did not sound like you were playing “, Patricia said again.

        "Let’s go to your house quickly am sure your parents are probably worried sick about you ", I said changing the topic.

       "You are right “, Patricia said and dragged me outside to the car.

      

             I smiled in Achivement because I just successfully changed the topic, if not I will definitely have to confess to crimes I committed and also the one I did not commit.

    

     *****************( Rachel’s POV )***************

        Draphel and I went back to the palace to get warmly welcomed by the demons.

        He held my hands tightly like I was going to get kidnapped.

          Just then I saw Alkil in the midst of the crowd with his fiancée by his side.

        He looked angry as he saw Draphel holding my hands.

         I laughed internally to see he was jealous. Now he would know how it feels to get betrayed.

       Draphel just kept smiling as we walked into the palace hand to hand. I saw how pretty his smile was, I just wished that moment could last forever.

      I just want to keep him smiling forever but I know that’s not possible because he has tons of enemies.

      He showed me to a room and said that was the Queen’s chamber which was mine.

       It was so huge and painted in my favorite color, purple.

         "I knew you would love it ", he said looking at me smile wildly.

       "This is amazing “, I said happily running to the bed.

          "I got this prepared for you”, he said.

         "But? I thought we were supposed to stay in the same room ", I asked curiously.

        "Do you want to stay in my room “, he smirked seductively.

         "No I was just asking “, I swallowed hard.

        "Don’t be shy. If you want I can transfer your things to my room ", he came closer to me still seducing me.

        "Do...don’t worry.....I...I think am fine here”, I said as my heart beats fast.

         "Your majesty, you have something important to see", astroid entered my room and interrupted us as usual.

       "Okay, am on my way “, Draphel said to astroid.

         

      "Phew”, I sighed in huge relief that astroid had came to my rescue just in time.

      "Don’t miss me too much. I will be back, and don’t worry you are safe in here. No one will be able to enter without your permission ", he said seeing how my expression had changed to a scared child.

        "Are you sure”, I asked scared that Astrain might come in here and do something stupid to me.

       "I promise you are safe “, he smiled at me and walked out.

        

       After Draphel went out, I just looked around my new room.

     I looked inside the wardrobe and found some new beautiful dresses and they were all exactly my sizes.

        I jumped in excitement but then I remembered my friends.

      I haven’t seen their faces since I had arrived.

         Just as I was thinking about my friends, a guard came in to announce to me.

        "Your majesty, a guard named Evanil said she would like to see you”, the guard who was probably guarding me said.

       "Let her in”, I said hurriedly without thinking twice.

        He went out to call her in.

         "So you finally betrayed my trust “, evanil said as she entered.

       "What are talking about “, I smiled at her thinking she was joking.

       "Don’t pretend like Troyal did not tell you our deal", she said giving me a dark look.

        "I don’t know what you are talking about “, I replied her.

       "You should ask Troyal about it. I just came to inform you that the king is only mine and I will do anything to get him back ", she looked at me scarily and just walked out leaving me speechless.

        But what was she talking about. Why did she say the king is hers.

        I just hope she doesn’t do anything stupid.
