The Dark Valley (Episode 47)

* THE DARK VALLEY * 

               { Chapter 47 }

         I got dressed waiting for Carl to come pick me up to the party.

      My parents asked were I was off to. I did not want to give them the news that Anthony was avoiding me.

           I knew they liked him, so I just told them I was going to a birthday party with a friend of mine. And they fell for my lies, at least I don’t have to make them hate Anthony because of what’s going on between us.

       Carl finally came to pick me after what seemed like hours.

        I was perfectly dressed, I put on a slit kneel gown. It was red in color and also had some sparkles on it.

          I decided to use a red lipstick to match with the dress.

       As I walked downstairs to meet Carl, I saw my parents gasp in surprise.

        "Oh my gosh honey, you look super beautiful ", my mom said and put her hands to cover her mouth.

          "Am sure every guy would go head heals for you, but don’t even think of cheating on Anthony ", dad smiled at me.

          I just nodded at him because I did not know what to say to him, I couldn’t tell him what was going on with Anthony. So I just hurriedly went out to find Carl already waiting for me.

       He was speechless to see me, I just smiled at him because I knew he was also mesmerized by my newly found beauty.

          "You look hot, sexy and most of all beautiful ", he finally said after staring at me like a dummy.

         "Thank you but we are running late,aren’t we? ", I asked sick of the way he was watching me endlessly.

          He drove to the party and helped me get out of the car.

          As we walked into the party, all eyes were on us and most especially me.

           

         Half of the school attended the party and I wasn’t aware of it, if not I would have refused.

             Carl led me to a bar stand at the party, he held me on my waist as we walked there.

          I cautioned him not to hold me there but he pleaded with me because he wanted to prove to his friends that even he could have a girl.

              I just had to give in , I don’t want him to feel embarrassed.

         He showed me to his friends who were standing at the bar stand. He introduced every single one of them to me.

         "I finally got miss prom queen “, he boosted to his friends .

         "I never knew you could be this beautiful if not I would have shoot my shot on you long time back ", one of his friends smiled at me and said.

      When I felt like people were watching me, I turned back to see all who were watching me.

          I found Anthony among the crowd and he was with that same girl.

        It was so frustrating that I was jealous and that Anthony said I was nobody to him.

            I looked back away as Anthony’s eyes met with mine.

         "So babe what are you going to drink tonight, it’s all on me", Carl said to me holding my waist.

          "Something suitable and perfect for me ", I smiled back at him.

        "Ohhhh”, all his friends screamed because I smiled.

          "You should smile more often “, one of them said.

          "Your smile could make a guy crazy over you", another guy said.

        I just blushed hard, all my life guys haven’t actually complimented me like this except for Anthony.

         ***************( Anthony’s POV ) **************

       A distance away from Patricia, Anthony was raging in anger to see another person holding his mate’s waist.

          He smirked as he watched the stupid guy digging his own grave.

    

         How dare he look at her that way, how dare he even think of touching her with his filthy hands.

         I wanted to walk up to him and beat him to the plump. But my cousin is here from the demon realm and I wouldn’t want her to know of Patricia .

         My cousin came unexpectedly this morning and said she had decided to move to the human world.

         I did not want to inform her about Patricia because she might end up telling my parents who might order me to come back to our world which I knew I would decline and Patricia’s life would be at stake. So I had to lie to her this afternoon, I even tried to avoid Patricia in front of her so that she wouldn’t suspect a thing.

      But then that stupid guy ordered for an alcohol for Patricia which I knew she hated it.

          I had a good smelling sense , I could smell anything from a distance. 

         

         I could see that Patricia wasn’t aware that it was alcohol and I couldn’t just stand by and watch her drink it.

        As I was about to walk up to her, I saw Patricia declining the drink. I felt a little relief , at least even if she was a human she could still sense something was odd about the drink.

       I looked back at my cousin who had been talking none stop all day long, I was already getting sick of her and I have been looking for a way to get rid of her so I could talk to Patricia.

       As I watched my cousin talk to me, I felt Patricia’s soul calling out to me. It felt like she was in danger.

     I looked back at the bar stand and couldn’t find her there, I walked out on my cousin leaving her there alone.

       "What’s wrong with you ", my cousin tried to stop me.

             "My mate is in danger ", I pushed her off me and ran out.

      I got outside to see something incredible happening and to my mate.

           Unconsciously my eyes turned to golden color.

         "Let her go", I said.

      

         **************( Patricia’s POV )**************

      As I blushed they all gave me an awkward look.

          

        Carl handed me a drink which he had ordered for me, I felt my body feeling somehow internally, it was like my body was literally denying me of having that drink, so I just smiled and declined the drink.

         "Well then since you don’t want a drink, why don’t we stroll outside with my friends ", Carl asked like a gentleman.

         

       I did not want to go but because Anthony was at this party and I did not want to see his face so I agreed to go with them.

       When we got outside, they forced me to walk into the nearby forest with them.

         As we walked into the forest they all looked at each other and smiled.

        "Why are you guys smiling “, I was getting scared and regretting why I had followed them.

        "Because the bait caught the fish", one of them said.

        "Am so sorry Patricia, I was dared to get you to this party for this. When I saw how you and Anthony were not on good terms I decided to take advantage of it ", Carl said in pity.

          "You lied to me ", I cried.

           "Don’t cry baby girl, it’s just one night. All you have to do is take off your clothes and let us do our thing ", another person said.

         "Am also going to have some fun right?", Carl asked a person who seems to be their leader.

         "Of course it’s your hardwork any ways “, he replied Carl who looked happy.

         "Please just let me go”, I said as tears rolled down my face.

       "We will definitely let you go but only after we are done ", the leader said.

        I just couldn’t stand there and do nothing like a weakly and let them touch me.

          I tried to run away but I felt a hand pull me back with force.

        I bit the hand tightly but a slap landed on my face.

       I still did not give up, I tried pushing one of them at my front away from me but I got punched in my stomach which weakened me.

          I fell to the ground, I tried standing up but I couldn’t, it was like the pain in my stomach wouldn’t let me.

        They tored my dress slowly and made fun of how weak I was.

          I just slept on the ground crying in defect, I had already given up hope of someone coming to rescue me.

         "Get your filthy hands off her", I heard a familiar voice say.

        I smiled as I saw Anthony walking in rage towards them. I was sure he was going to teach them a good and benefiting lesson.

       "Dude don’t interfere or you’ll end up getting hurt”, Carl said to Anthony.

         "You had the guts to first touch my love and now plan to rape her”, he smirked in anger.

      "Forget about love but instead think about your life. We can decide to kill you right here and no one will find out”. Their leader challenged Anthony who only seemed to get more pissed off.

         "I knew it, I knew she was yours", the girl who had been with Anthony the whole day said smiling.

          "Yes, she’s mine only and now I would need your help “, Anthony said to her as she walked closely to him.

            "Ohhh, he’s got a female companion. But she won’t be able to harm us instead you have gotten us an extra enjoyment ", the leader said.

      "Don’t underestimate me”, the girl said smiling wickedly.

       Just then Anthony bent down to her ears and whispered something.

     

        Immediately the girl walked up to me.

         "Sorry for doing this , I hold no grudges but am doing this for the best", she said and placed her hands on my head and I passed out.

         **************( Rachel’s POV )**************

         When I went downstairs to have breakfast, I couldn’t find Draphel there.

         "Where is the king “, I asked one of the maids.

          "He is having an important discussion in his room ", she said to me.

        I wonder what could be this important that he was not here.

        I just ate my share of breakfast and waited for him to come but he did not.

         After waiting for hours, I went back upstairs to my room disappointedly.

       Just as I entered my room and sat on the bed, Draphel entered the room.

          I saw the looks he had on his face, it wasn’t good I was sure something was wrong.

        "What happened, what is the problem “, I asked curiously.

        "We’ve got bad news ", he announced.

         "What happened “, I asked again.

         "Actually Alkil’s marriage has been prosponed ", he said.

        "That’s good news", I smiled.

        "It has been prosponed to two days time ", Draphel broke the main bad news to me.

       I staggered backwards in shock. Draphel ran to catch me from falling.

        "Are you okay ", he asked worried about me.

         "Yes…but what are we going to do now. We can’t find a wife that quickly for you”, I said as my worst fear was happening.

         "I don’t know ", he said looking down.

        

        I raised his head up and told him, " Don’t worry I have another plan ".

           He raised his head gently as his eyes shone In hope that my plan works.
