Forced Marriage (Episode 41)
Chapter 41
The atmosphere becoming intense each passing minute. With neither of them making movement as if time had been stopped. Their eyes locked in one another retrieving all those lost moments back to life. And here she thought, that life was on her side. Forgetting that it had abandoned her during the fist time he saw him. In front of the door.
Her heart pounding out of the chest. All her emotions became diluted in different kinds of colours. She stared at this man like just like she had stared at him. But yet again, she remembered staring at him in that state which sent her flee for her life.
"Lauren?" Danny called out to her bringing her back to reality. She held little Aurora tight as if she were about to fall any moment while this man took a few steps towards her.
"Don't get close to me." She shouted realising that this man was near her. She could feel his aura, his sent getting through her nostrils.
Just as he was about to get much closer to her, he turned to see a car right in front of his. He shook his head upon the matter. His heart telling him everything. And there she was, getting inside.
Ruby got out of the house and stood by his brother. Her attitude towards him wasn't much likable. Anger for him had enveloped in her.
"Great. And you just had to ruin that moment again," she said looking at him with anger and unpleasantness. She turned to leave but got hold back, and without wasting time, she stared at him.
"Who was Lauren holding? Does she have a child? And has she moved on already?" He concernly asked Ruby with a breaking heart.
"Yes, she has a child. And she has moved on."
"With who?"
"How should I know. Lauren can make her own decisions. She's capable of anything. She's clever, strong and certainly, she can handle anything without the need of a man." She pulled her hand violently. "And yes. I'm glad that she has moved on."
"No, she hasn't moved on. Only I know her. And I surely know that she still loves me." He smiled at Ruby's last words. Understanding the deeper meaning to it.
...
Lauren placed Aurora on the bed and went to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and removed her clothes. Unhappy with what had happened earlier. Her tears rolled down her face while getting under the shower. Her head heavy. She sat down on the tile with her heads on her head. She wished badly to reverse that moment.
Her mother's words pierced right through her heart. What was she going to tell her daughter when she askes that question. When she start demanding for the answers. What was she going to say to her. All her tears got mixed up with the water.
....
Everyone was sitted worried, panicking, feeling sorry for the poor girl.
"Harper, can you please talk to Lauren. You know she will listen to you," Kim asked looking at how worried Lauren's mother was. She felt like she failed as a parent and as a leader.
"There's nothing I can do myself. With Danny back. The situation is out of my hand. Only she will be the to end all this. But I could advise to let her do things on her way."
"I think Harper is right. Lauren is a hard headed girl. There's nothing we can do but let her do what she wants. All we need to do is keep an eye on her."
Everyone agreed on the solution, but Lauren's mother was far by mile. She felt like she had lost her daughter. Not knowing whether it was her fault or whose. Not knowing whether to blame herself or God. All the stress was just to much for her. Tears wetted her eyes. Immediately, she excused herself from the rest.
...
Danny sat on the bed, with a file on his hands. He remembered the very same day he was handed this papers. Thinking that it was work related. But when he opened, only to find out that they were divorce papers, coming from Lauren.
He remembered how angry he was. He threw everything on the floor in anger.
Breaking and vandalising the house. He himself had never seen this part.
He smiled while holding the papers in his hands. Looking at them, he teared them into tiny peaces. "Mrs Scott, I'll bring you back. The right way. No one, absolutely no one will ever come between us. I don't know who the father of the child is, but he will have to forgive me, and himself for making such mistakes." He threw the papers in the bin.
...
"A knock came on the door of Lauren's house, and immediately, she went to get it. A young woman, with innocence written all over her stood at the door. Her black hair dancing among the wind with her ocean eyes completing her beauty.
"Hi. I'm Melo. The nanny," she extended her hand for a shake and Lauren responded to it. She didn't look like someone who can take care of a child, she looked more of a model stutters.
"Come in. I'm Lauren. I actually thought that Ruby had chosen someone a bit older, but you're perfect. That way. Aurora won't feel shy around you," she complemented Ruby's ideal choice. Not only didn't it suit Melo, but she was reminded of Amanda.
She showed Melo around the house. Welcoming her. And later, she refreshed, got dressed and went to Aurora.
"Please take care of my baby. She's my life and without her, it's the same as I'm dead."
"I'll guard her with my life." Melo responded while Lauren kissed her little angel and left.
As always, she put on that beautiful radiant smile attracting all those who took a look. Luring all the men into her direction, but the smile faded when she looked at a familiar face. The face she didn't like at all.
"Ahhaa, Lauren you're back?"
"And you're still alive?"
"You know we'll die together. I've missed you so much. I even looked for you in the entire country but no sign."
"Maybe you didn't look enough. I was home."
"I see. You were looking at this side of yourself. A business woman. But you know what. I think we should sit and talk, maybe become partners. And also talk about how beautiful you've become. I've been thinking about you the entire time. And since you and Danny broke up, I can finally have you, all to myself."
"Well, good luck on finding a partner Aaron. But sadly, I'm not interested. Now can you move out of my way. I have a meeting to attend to." She walked passed him making Aaron smile.
"I'll surely have you Lauren. Whether you like it or not. But you'll surely be mine. It's just a matter of time from now."
