Forced Marriage (Episode 34)
Chapter 34
A call came in Lauren's phone making her to frown. She hung up but the person called again. "I'll be in my room," she told Ruby and excused herself.
"What do you Aaron. Didn't I already tell you to stop calling me."
"I can't help it. The love I have for you is one of a kind. And it hurts me a lot that you're sad. Didn't I tell you that husband of yours will break your heart."
"Apparently, my husband and I are very Happy at the moment." She closed the door in her room.
"Do you mean the same person who doesn't sleep home but somewhere else?"
A frown settled on Lauren's face. Even Aaron knew where Danny was and her, his wife had no single clue where he was. The phone went quiet for long while making Aaron smile with satisfaction. She felt like the bigger fool.
"I can show you where he is. Wait for my message any day," he hung up.
Her tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. Her mind filled with many thoughts. Drifting away from where she was. She sat down on the floor. Holding her hair. Now she regretted why she ever fell in love with him. Why she told him. Why she got closer to him. She regretted the day she met him. The pain she was feeling was running through her vains. Poisoning her blood.
A knock came on the door bringing Lauren's mind back to reality. "Come in," she said while she got up and sat on the bed.
"Ma'am, Mrs Scott is here."
"Alright, thank you. I'll be down in a few minutes." The worker closed the door. Lauren got up and went to the bathroom to wash her face. But that didn't feel enough for her. She opened the shower and got under it, letting the cold water ease her. But still, it wasn't enough.
She changed her attired and dried her hair then joined the rest.
"Lauren dear. How lovely to see you again." She hugged her with a smile. Lauren couldn't help but see smile back at her.
"Hi," she replied. But didn't understand why the atmosphere was becoming heavy and hazzy all of a sudden.
"Harper, have you tried calling Danny. I can't get hold of him." Lauren looked at Harper. Nothing surprised her.
"Could you try calling him dear. Maybe he will answer your calls."
Lauren looked away. She herself didn't know where Danny was. And here, Kim was asking her to call him. Even if she called it would have been useless. She would be ignored like the rest.
Everything started running and spinning in Lauren's head. His name. And everything. She badly wished to have a switch on her head. But trying to look at everyone, they were hazzy and spinning at the same time. Before she knew it, she was on the ground unconscious.
"Lauren, Lauren dear!" Kim shouted,shocked at what was happening to Lauren. Harper immediately picked her up and rushed to her room.
"Ruby call the doctor now. I want them here within fifteen minutes." She hurried and followed Harper while Ruby made the call panicking.
Just immediately she called the doctor,she hung up and called Danny. But no, he wasn't picking up. Again, she tried several times and sent messages to him.
"Why are you doing this brother?" She questioned herself.

The doctor came as soon as possible and started to examine Lauren imm while the family waited on the door, panicking on what could possibly have cause Lauren to faint.
"Any luck in getting through your brother?" Kim asked impatiently. She was at the neck of breaking someone with the anger inside of her.
"Nope. No luck. But I did sent him a straight forward message about what just happened.
"Where is he when you need him."

Twitching her eyes open, got a little stutter when she saw a doctor attending to her. A frown settled on her face recalling how she fainted. "Doctor? What happened. I mean,what caused me to to fall unconscious." She called out.
"Stress. It's not good for you and the baby to be under pressure...."
"Baby? What baby?"
"You don't know. You're pregnant ma'am."
"Ohh my Lord. I'm pregnant. For real?" A smile crept on Lauren's face holding her stomach with the both of her hands.
"Yes. But you need to stop stressing so much. It's not healthy for you and the child. Also, you should eat more. You don't want anything to happen to your child. Take as much rest as you need."
"I don't."
"Well, my job here is done. I will package the medication you need to take. They will be delivered here."
"Thank you." She smiled while the doctor packed his stuff and started walking away.
"Umm...wait doctor. Could you please not tell them that I'm pregnant. I want to tell them myself."
"Alright." He got out and closed the door.
....
"Doctor, how is she?" Kim was the one who asked.
"She just fainted from the stress. I advise that she shouldn't be under pressure. It might worsen her health."
"Thank God. We'll surely do doctor." Kim and Ruby got in while Harper walked the doctor outside.
"Lauren dear, how are you doing now?"
"I'm okay. Just a little stress hit me the wrong way."
"Surely you wouldn't be stressed if brother was here." She gave off a sight. Kim looked at her with a keen eye that very moment.
"What Mom? I'm not wrong. Even I have seen it myself...."
"Ruby..."
"I've sent him several texts and called him several times, but no. He isn't answering or responding to a single text."
"Ruby!" She raised her hand but stopped it in mid air.
"No, she's right. I got him over my head too much, I ended up forgetting myself."
