Lauren looked at the back and saw how kayler was confused. A smile crept on her face while Ryan and Kayler smiled awkwardly trying to hide about their gossips.
"Please don't get angry."
"I'm listening," he said curiously.
"Aaron came to the house one day and he tried to kiss me. I pushed him away and kicked him out of the house. He also confessed to me, saying that he is in love with me and I belong to him."
"Hmm, seems like he is tired of living." He said sarcastically.
"Please don't do anything to him?"
"Tell, why are you protecting him?"
"He is my friend, I think it just hurts him that I'm married while he wasn't able to confess."
"I see, but would you listen if I tell you to stay away from him?" he raised a brow looking at her.
Lauren kept quiet for a while looking down. "Yes. But why?" She looked at Danny with assurity.
"Aaron is working with Amber. She is also behind your kidnapping." Her eyes widen upon hearing that. His words echoed in his ears for a while.
"Is that why you said you wanted me to come with you? You wanted to show me him?"
"Yes." Just like that, she ran out of words. Her mind still trying to process everything.
"Do me a favour. Amber will surely try to test you again. Don't be frightened around them. Just smile and show that you don't care..." He got cut off.
"Relax. I understand. I love you. Alright?"
"I love you too pumpkin," he kissed her on the forehead and in no time, they had arrived at the venue.*
All the flashbacks made Lauren smile. She wanted to show that she wasn't just Mrs Scott but a capable woman, strong, fearless and a bad ass.
She isn't the same woman she used to be. She is better than before.

"So you will stay here while we attend the meeting. The best part is that you can watch from here." Ryan indicated and Lauren took a look. A large table settled there with other people sitted already. Lauren could see the uneasiness of other people.
"Make sure you do not leave the building. I'm afraid most of my enemies have come. I'll call a guard to stand by," Danny whispered to his wife.
"You go now. I'll wait for you. I won't leave without you." she said with great determination and without wasting anymore time, he left with Ryan following her from behind.
Both girls sat down and talked, but Lauren was more interested in the meeting. She watched how it was conducted but sadly, she couldn't hear a thing. That made her have a frown on her face.
She tried reading their facial expressions. And all she saw was frustration. For a moment she wished to be part and understand these business stuff.
"Girl, you'll get a headache if you continue watching that." Kayler complained seeing how focused her friend was.
"Sorry," she apologised and sat down.
"Now, can you explain why I'm only hearing about you being kidnapped by some pyscho ex girlfriend."
"Ohh, so you heard."
"Tell me, how did you escape and what did she do to you. And suddenly you're shaking hands with her as if nothing happened. Why am I being left in the cold?"
"Relax girl. I just didn't feel like troubling you. Everything happened so fast, it was all too much."
"Is that why you stopped troubling Danny?"
Lauren looked away.
"You know you can tell me anything right," she said looking at her.
The erea went quiet for a while. With neither girls talking.
Taking another look at how things were going, Lauren's eyes widen in surprise. Danny was standing aside, with Amber holding his shoulder. It seemed like he had no problem with with. Anger enveloped in her. 'How could he let her touch him,' she scolded within herself.
Unable to watch anymore, she sat down with a fright on her face. Kayler looked at her and said nothing.
Lauren tried to hold herself but it was becoming a bit too much. "How could he let her touch him. After everything he still let her get close to him."
"It's business Lauren. There's nothing you can do about it."
Staying quiet, Ryan showed up to the girls. "Hey, what's going on. Are you done already?" Kayler asked nearing Lauren.
He ran his hand through his hair and wiped his face. "Look, things are not going well. I need you and Lauren. Now?"
"What is it. Tell me or we're not leaving."
"Things didn't go according to plan and now the meet will last the entire night."
"Alright. I'll go with Lauren. But what is the real truth."
"It's nothing much. I'll tell you everything,"
He kissed her on her cheek and left.
Kayler let out a breath. She wondered what could be happening now.
"What was Ryan saying?"
"Nothing much. He just said that we could go if we want because the meeting would last the entire night. Plus, I really craving for something outside. The food here is great, but it doesn't have... You know...that thing."
"Alright. We can go." She picked up her bag and they both left.
Lauren returned home to find Danny waiting for him. She looked at him with surprise and a raised brow.
"I thought the meeting was going to last the entire night."
"I ran away. Ryan is handling the rest."
"You really trust him, don't you?"
"Yes. He is my friend and brother from another mother. We grew up close. We were friends before the truth came out. So yes. I trust him."
"Alright."
Before she could notice, Danny had held her close to his arms and kissed her.
Without wasting time. He had started taking off her clothes and savoiring the endless delicate taste of her. Giving him the taste of him.
...
"You're okay." Danny asked staring at the ceiling.
"Mm. I'm okay."
"Mm... Ruby and Marcos wishes to see you. Mom and dad too. It would be good if we can stay with them for some time. You can still go to work or do it online if you want."
"Alright," she simply said without questioning him.
